The Wisconsin Badgers came up just short in the Rose Bowl in a 21-19 loss to the TCU Horned Frogs.
Wisconsin rallied back from a deficit to score a late touchdown and close within two, but could not complete the two-point conversion.
The Badgers then tried an onside kick but did not recover, and then allowed TCU to run for a first down and milk away the final seconds.
Wisconsin had some success running the football, but their passing game really struggled against TCU’s stingy defense. ( Read More…)

Tank Carder batted down a 2-point conversion pass with two minutes to play and Texas Christian held on for a 21-19 victory over Wisconsin on Saturday in the Rose Bowl, capping a 13-0 season.

The most noteworthy number entering the Rose Bowl is 3, that is the ranking in the Bowl Championship Series of undefeated Texas Christian.

The USC Trojans hung tough in the first half but eventually ran out of steam in a 53-32 loss to the Oregon Ducks.
Running back LaMichael James was absolutely unstoppable, racking up 239 yards and three touchdowns.
After the game, the USC defense claimed that they weren’t tired and that it wasn’t the tempo of the Oregon offense that bothered them.
Instead, they said that James and company were simply so explosive and talented that their preparation couldn’t simulate what they were about to face. ( Read More…)
